Britain’s best-known paralympian, Dame Tanni Grey Thompson, is fronting a scheme to encourage employers to help their staff get fitter.
Called Fit for Business, the scheme provides advice and training for workplace fitness champions via a website.
It dispenses advice and training on how to introduce changes in the workplace that can lead to a healthier lifestyle for employees – from replacing biscuits with fruit, to lunchtime office exercise sessions.
Fit for Business will also provide workplace training for employees who are involved in the scheme. It will provide annual assessments of how participating organisations are faring.

It will cost organisations about £5 per employee per year to join the scheme.
