Competition chair builds new career at Laing O’Rourke

Denise
Kingsmill is to take her first post since the end of her tenure as deputy
chairman of the Competition Commission.

Kingsmill,
who also chaired the DTI’s Accounting for People Taskforce, will now chair and
develop a new advisory forum for the Laing O’Rourke construction company.

The
forum aims to help the company become ‘a clearly differentiated, world class
construction group’.

the forum has aired its views on subjects such as human capital management,
health and safety, and international labour law, Kingsmill will feed the
information through to O’Rourke’s executive management team.
