Confidence
among the UK’s manufacturers has dipped in all but one region, according to the
CBI.
Although
the majority were more optimistic about the immediate prospects for orders and
output, business confidence has dropped in ten of the 11 regions.
The
Regional Trends Survey shows that only the East Midlands recorded an upturn in
general business confidence over the last four months.
The
greatest drop in confidence was experienced by the South West while the North
East and the East Midlands were the most positive about the coming four months.
