New look Employers’ Law magazine launch

This week, Personnel Today’s sister publication Employers’ Law magazine unveils a brand new look and some exciting new content to ensure it becomes your essential monthly read.


Following our reader research among Personnel Today and Employers’ Law readers, we are introducing several new regular features.


Legal editor Dawn Spalding explained: “Readers can keep on top of the latest legislation and case law developments through our popular case round-up section and we now aim to place much more emphasis on the practical application of the law.”


Packed with weblinks and pointers on where to get further information, Employers’ Law becomes more practical and includes summaries of the key points of law and action points to help employers to avoid ending up in a tribunal.


In response to reader demand, we will feature more case studies and our new policy tips pages will give HR professionals practical advice and checklists on what to consider when drafting and updating policies.


Other new elements include a new ‘How to…’ section offering expert guidance on a hot topic each month â€“ with action points on how to prepare for the new age legislation in February’s issue. Readers can also look forward to regular Q&As, real employment law dilemmas answered by legal experts, and find out what their peers are up to by reading the editor’s pick of the latest legal discussions online.


February’s new look issue also kicks off a series of ‘head to head’ features, in which two leading industry figures are challenged over some of the hottest employment law topics. This month sees the CBI’s director of HR policy, Susan Anderson swapping ideas on equal pay with Jenny Watson, chairwoman of the Equal Opportunities Commission.
