An agreement has been reached between the T&G union and management of the catering firm Gate Gourmet which could resolve the long-running dispute.
Gate Gourmet sacked 667 people in August after they illegally walked out over the company’s restructuring plans.
This lead to two days of unofficial strikes by British Airways staff in sympathy with the catering staff. The wildcat strikes are estimated to have cost British Airways between £40m and £50m.

The T&G said that details of the agreement would be released on Wednesday after they had been fully reported to all concerned on both sides.
In a statement the T&G said: “Both the company and the union are pleased that a way forward has been found, and if the agreement is ratified both sides have committed to working together to rebuild trust and confidence after all the difficulties of recent weeks.”
