RBS’ new HQ to have Tesco store

Staff at Royal Bank of Scotland’s new headquarters will have their own Tesco store.

The retailer has agreed to open an Express store at the Edinburgh site. The bank’s employees are expected to move into the £350m site in Gogarburn this July.

A Royal Bank of Scotland spokesman said: “Gogarburn will provide an outstanding working environment, including retail, fitness, leisure and nursery facilities – catering for the needs of the 3,250 staff who will be working there.”

Starbucks is also understood to be in negotiations with the bank to open at the site.
