The
Transport and General Workers’ Union (T&G) in Scotland has condemned the lack of progress in
repealing anti-trade union legislation.
Speaking
in a debate on ‘trade union and employment rights’ at the Scottish TUC Annual
Congress in Glasgow, T&G Scotland’s senior regional industrial organiser,
Raymond Wilson, said: “We should be clear that the Employment Rights Act,
welcome as its introductions was, does not solve all the problems encountered
by workers as they struggle to organise.
“It
is high time that steps were taken to repeal all anti-union laws and replace
them with positive rights for working people."
