Top UK job sites hold record number of CVs

The
100 top UK job sites had more than 9 million CVs registered with them at the
end of December 2003.

According
to a report on the UK online recruitment industry published today, this is a
new record.

David
Hurst, publisher of the Top 100 online recruitment sites report 2004, said the
findings also show consolidation in the market, with larger sites growing and
some smaller ones falling away.

However,
he said, there is plenty of activity from industry-specific sites as well.

"With
the NHS developing its own job website, the percentage of jobs filled via online
advertising will rise from its estimated 35 per cent to 50 per cent the end of
2004," he said
