Electronic
job kiosks are being installed throughout central London as part of a new
initiative to get more people into work.
The
kiosks allow people to pinpoint what vacancies are available in both their area
and nationwide at the touch of a button.
Worktrain,
a national jobs, learning and careers website, has teamed up with local
authorities and Cityspace to offer its services from the kiosks, located in the
capital and at pilot locations throughout the country.
Minister
for Work Nick Brown said: "We want to make looking for work as easy,
accessible and convenient as possible.
"What
could be better than having the latest vacancies at your fingertips as you shop
on your local high street or wait for the bus."

The
pilot will run for six months making Worktrain available at 115 locations
across Britain on ‘i+’ kiosks. The service is free and easy to use and also
offers a variety of local information in collaboration with local authorities.
