London Underground ballot suspended

A
planned strike ballot of London Underground (LU) workers has been suspended.

Ananova reports that members of the Rail Maritime and Transport union had been
due to start voting on whether to take action linked to the firefighters’
dispute, but this has been postponed for legal reasons.

Members
were to vote on action in support of Tube workers, who have been refusing to
work normally during fire strikes for safety reasons.

But
the RMT announced that the ballot was being suspended "pending legal
advice".
