Tesco recruit for festive season

Tesco
is recruiting another 17,000 staff to deal with increased demand and ensure its
stores are fully stocked during the Christmas period.

The
supermarket will employ 5,000 permanent staff to add to its current workforce
of more than 200,000.

It
is also going to recruit 12,000 seasonal staff to work at its 730 supermarkets
over the busy Christmas period.

The
Christmas jobs involve both serving customers and behind-the-scenes work and
will cover all areas of the store including checkouts, bag-packing, customer
service, stock replenishment and Tesco.com.
