Another
of the Commission for Racial Equality’s top brass has resigned, just a day
after the high-profile departure of chairman Gurbux Singh.
Dr
Mashuq Ally, the head of the CRE in Wales, was suspended in April over
allegations of professional misconduct.
The
Cardiff-based Commission set up an internal inquiry panel to see whether there
was a case to answer, but Dr Ally has since offered his resignation.
In a
statement, the CRE confirmed the resignation but did not elaborate on the
matter.

On
Wednesday, Singh resigned after being fined £500 for using threatening
behaviour outside Lord’s cricket ground.
