Sixty
per cent of city workers claimed that they would celebrate a million pound
bonus with a holiday.
Under
a quarter of the city workers questioned by city recruitment consultants Jonathan
Wren claimed that they would share any bonus with their friends and families.
Only
2 per cent of the people surveyed said they would use the windfall to take
early retirement in an exotic location, only 1 per cent said they would give to
charity. The survey questioned over 100 people who work in the City.
“The
city is an exciting and addictive work environment, and so while everyone needs
to recharge their batteries on a luxury holiday, it does not surprise me that
most would choose to return to work whatever bonus they receive,” said Shaun
McCarthy, managing director at Jonathan Wren.
