Who are the job hoppers asks the US Society for Human Resources

Just over half of American HR professionals (51 per cent) categorise an employee who changes their job every year as a job hopper.A third (34 per cent) would also put the same label on those changing jobs every two years, according to a study by the US Society for Human Resource Management.

But the survey found markedly differing views among employees with only a fifth (19 per cent) considering that a job change every 12 months constitutes job hopping.

The findings are based on responses from 638 randomly selected society members and 347 job seekers.
