Unions will decide next month on whether to hold strike ballots after talks between British Airways and union bosses broke down.
The airline is trying to persuade the GMB and Unite to accept a wide range of cuts it says are vital for its survival, after it lost £401m last year.
Unite, representing cabin crew, registered a “failure to agree” after more than two weeks of talks at conciliation service Acas.
There will now be a ‘cooling off’ period, reports the London Evening Standard.
