A
survey of working parents has revealed their greatest childcare fear is being
late to collect their children from school.
A
study of 100 working parents by the Xpherix Corporation shows they all worry
about not arriving on time to pick up their children at the end of the working
day.
Interviews
with parents illustrated the problems faced by staff with children as 48 per
cent admitted to being late due to over-running meetings or unreliable public
transport.

Around
98 per cent say they carry a mobile phone so they can be contacted, but more
than a quarter confessed they had, on more than one occasion, been unable to
call their child’s school when running late.
