National
supermarket chain Budgens has launched a dedicated online recruitment portal.
Budgens
HR manager Duncan Turner said the site, Budgenscareers.co.uk, should benefit
the company by helping attract top-calibre candidates, reduce administrative
burden, and offer short-, medium- and long-term cost savings.
“[It
will provide] an impactful, hugely cost effective and efficient way for us to
reach potential candidates whom we might otherwise miss," he said.
"Budgenscareers.co.uk
will form a major part of our recruitment strategy and policy. It, and sites
like it, are pushing recruitment on to an exciting new plane, and we’re
thrilled to be a part of that process.
“Job
hunting is now one of the top five uses of the Internet and more and more
people are using the web as their primary job search mechanism."

site was designed and implemented in a three-way collaboration between
Budgens ‘AND Advertising’ and the
Internet Corporation.
