Firefighters
have cancelled strike action planned for tomorrow after receiving a fresh offer
from employers.
It’s
thought that local authority employers have not increased the proposed 16 per
cent increase in pay, but have given way on some of the strings attached to the
deal.
The
Firefighters were due to walkout at 1800 GMT on Thursday as part of a the
dispute over pay.

The
FBU executive voted on Tuesday night to call off the strike and recommend
acceptance of the deal although it could face a backlash from activists at the
union’s conference tonight.
