The
TUC has teamed up with the Association of British Insurers to call for measures
to stem the £38m-a-day cost of workplace injuries.
The
two organisations have launched a joint campaign to revive the rehabilitation
services available to people injured at work.
It
claims that delays in treatment, a lack of resources and a disjointed approach
to dealing with sick workers has led to the UK falling behind other nations on
rehabilitation.
Key
elements of the plan include more engagement with government, making a solid
business case for engagement and a focus on getting staff back to good health.
