The
NHS is failing to attract foreign doctors.
According
to BBC online, two schemes which planned to recruit 1,000 foreign specialists
have so far only attracted 45 to the NHS.
Professor
Graeme Catto, head of the General Medical Council, said the UK is not
attracting the specialist medics it needs.

He
warned: "We are going to have the ludicrous situation where we are all
setting up our stall in the back streets of Calcutta."
