NHS staff to be consulted over pension scheme

Ten
thousand NHS employees in England and Wales will be surveyed about the current
review of the NHS pension scheme.

The
research will be used when developing the final proposals expected in the
autumn of this year.

Verity
Lewis, deputy chair of the staff side for the pension review, said, "It is
important and proper to ask for the views of pension scheme members as part of
the review process, and the NHS trade unions fully support this research
project."
