South West Train strike postponed

Next
week’s industrial action by the RMT union against South West Trains has been
postponed to allow for possible talks.

Members
of RMT had been due to stage a 48-hour walkout on 24-25 January over pay and
disciplinary procedures.

strikes will now go ahead on 28-29 January if an agreement cannot be reached
and the union says more strikes will be held on 12-13 February unless there is
a breakthrough.
