More
than 60 per cent of staff seeking to change jobs search internet recruitment
sites during work time, a survey has revealed.
Jobseekers
are even unwilling to use their lunch break to seek alternative employment,
with peak times being mid-morning and just before the end of the working day.
IT
services company Parity found that 40 per cent of job applications are posted
to its website between 10am and 11am and around 5pm.
The
company also receives about 4 per cent of the applications between 1am and 6am
– proving that some staff are so desperate for a change they’ll even sacrifice
sleep.
