The ITV show Hit Me Baby One More Time – featuring Eighties pop heart-throb Shakin’ Stevens – had to be shot at BBC studios after ITV staff walked out in a dispute over pay.

The BBC rolled out the red carpet – and opened the Green Door – when more than 700 members of Amicus and broadcasting union Bectu took part in a 36-hour strike last weekend after rejecting a 3.3% pay offer.
The action comes after ITV announced a £340m profit and £1.9m pay package for chief executive Charles Allen.
