News International, publishers of the Sun and Sunday Times is planning to axe nearly 100 jobs, or around 14% of its editorial workforce, across its four national titles, according to the Guardian.

The national newspaper reported that the total number of jobs lost would be “less than 100” out of a total News International editorial staff of 1,400 across the the Sun, News of the World, Times and Sunday Times in London and in Scotland.
The News International Staff Association e-mailed staff to inform them that 30 editorial jobs would go at the Times and 20 on the News of the World, with the remaining jobs being lost from other titles.
