by Personnel Today 9 Jul 2009

The School of Law at the University of Edinburgh is pleased to announce the launch of a new series of online Professional courses in Employment Law due to launch this October.

The first course to take place is Managing Dismissals, Redundancies and Restructuring of the Workforce .

This new course comes at a time where given the current economic environment, it is an unfortunate, yet inevitable consequence that businesses will need to consider downsizing and rationalisation. Aimed at HR professionals, in-house legal advisers, employment relations advisers, line managers and Personnel consultants. Students will gain a detailed knowledge and understanding of important aspects of UK dismissal and redundancy law within a practical setting and the relevant legal issues applicable in the context of business transfers, outsourcing and restructuring.
