Firefighters plan to reignite dispute with short strikes

Firefighters
are planning a series of short strikes – some lasting as little as two hours –
to cause maximum disruption, it is claimed.

According
to the Financial Times, firefighters believe this will cause a great deal of
trouble for the government at minimum cost to themselves.

The
newspaper said short stoppages would prevent firefighters suffering the
financial penalties that would accompany an longer industrial action.

The
option was put forward at Friday’s Fire Brigades Union meeting.
