Friends Reunited moves into online recruitment

Friends Reunited, the website that brings old friends back together, is to start uniting employers with staff.

The site has acquired the recruitment site to offer its 12 million members 30,000 jobs as well as 20,000 CVs when the site, Friends Reunited Jobs, goes live in April.

Michael Murphy, chief executive of Friends Reunited, said that Friends Reunited may have started out reuniting old school friends, but it had quickly grown to include reuniting old work mates.

“There are already over three million people using this service, registered across 480,000 different workplaces and we found employers were using our listings to find candidates, so it made sense to offer the service ourselves,” he said.
