All staff at the north Suffolk farm struck by a bird flu outbreak this month have returned to work, it has been confirmed.
 
The workers, who were sent home while experts culled 160,000 turkeys in an attempt to contain the disease, received full pay for the time they were off work, a Bernard Matthews spokesperson confirmed.
 
An Asian strain of the deadly H5N1 virus was found at the farm in Holton, Suffolk, at the beginning of the month.
 
The affected premises were subject to a restriction order from the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs on 1 February.

All poultry was culled and protection zones were imposed to prevent further spread to neighbouring flocks and farms.
