London Underground has reported that staff at 40 out of 44 tube stations have agreed the new roster system which has been the cause of industrial action.
The RMT union is set to stage another strike on Sunday in a dispute about the rosters, which it says make the underground an unsafe place to work.
Last-ditch attempts to avert Sunday’s strike with talks at conciliation service Acas failed yesterday.

An London Underground spokesman told the BBC: “The RMT should return to the negotiations and resolve any issues they have by discussion. We remain committed to resolving this dispute at any time and with the least possible inconvenience to Londoners.”
The RMT called the claims totally inaccurate and misleading.
