HSBC to woo recruits with ‘designer’ offices

HSBC chief executive Michael Geoghegan accidentally revealed the bank’s plans at a presentation to Skinners’ Company’s School for Girls in London.

“Banking in the UK is very boring. We are working on a strategy at the moment where we are looking to open about 60 very big branches where you could go and get a whole range of financial services,” Geoghegan told the school.
