Recruitment & retention

Bullhorn UK Hits the Century Mark

by Personnel Today 19 Oct 2010
by Personnel Today 19 Oct 2010

The global market leader in web-based agency recruitment software, Bullhorn, has signed its 100th UK client, Randstad Technologies. Following Bullhorn’s one-year UK anniversary only two months ago, the landmark contract signals the growing demand for Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions within the UK recruitment agency sector.

Randstad Technologies was originally established in 1974 as Abraxas, and is the specialist technology arm of the world’s second-largest recruitment organisation, Randstad. With offices in London, Bristol and Cambridge, the agency recruits IT staff and provides HR services for a wide range of sectors, including banking and finance, life science and the public sector.

Rod Jackson, Randstad Technologies CEO, commented: “We selected Bullhorn after an extensive review of the offerings available in the market and Bullhorn stood out as a platform to take us into the future. Its flexibility, ability to integrate with Randstad’s internal platforms and the latest web solutions meant that it was clearly the best option to support our business, allowing our recruiters to offer the highest possible level of service to our clients and candidates.”

Bullhorn’s UK MD Peter Linas, added: “Web-based software is fast becoming the natural solution for forward-thinking recruitment agencies. The cost savings, flexibility and scalability of the Bullhorn platform are hard to ignore, and this is clearly reflected in the growing number of agencies choosing us to support the growth of their business. In addition to a fully-integrated CRM and ATS system and smart phone compatibility, our clients also have access to a burgeoning roster of pre-integrated apps and add-ons through the Bullhorn Marketplace. Recent releases include SMS for Bullhorn, an application from Dialogue Communications that enables recruiters to send text messages to single or multiple candidates from within the Bullhorn platform.

“Signing our 100th client after just over a year in the UK indicates that Bullhorn is increasingly the software solution of choice for UK-based recruitment firms. Bullhorn’s global user growth of over 30% in the first 6 months of this year reiterates this. We have gone from strength to strength in 2010, and are looking forward to a successful 2011.”

Bullhorn has also reinforced its position as the UK’s market leader in recruitment software by further expanding its staff, appointing Mike Restivo to its sales team. Restivo moves to the UK from Bullhorn’s head office in Boston, US, where he held the position of sales team lead. Peter Linas concludes: “We are very much looking forward to working with Mike; his work in the US was exemplary, and his skills and insights will be vital in maintaining our growth in the UK.”
