Car manufacturer Jaguar has
confirmed that there will be no job losses as a result of the production cuts
announced last week.
Jaguar intends to cut
production by 15,000 cars for the rest of 2004 across their three UK
sites at Coventry,
Merseyside, and Birmingham, which employ around 8,000
workers.
The T&G, the largest trade
union at Jaguar, said the company had assured there would be no job losses as a
result, and that it will move to a
four-day week to facilitate the cuts they need.

The company has also indicated that it will consider extending holiday
periods in 2004.
