Companies take responsibilities more seriously

UK
companies are getting more involved in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
according to the latest index by Business in the Community.

The
second Corporate Responsibility Index results have shown an increase of 14 per
cent in the number of companies participating, with the average score for the
Index up from 68 per cent to 80 per cent.

The
Corporate Responsibility Index has been developed to ensure a systematic
approach to managing, measuring and reporting on the various impacts that
companies have upon society and their environment.
