Newham
Council has held a free Learning at Work day for staff, to try and promote the
opportunities available to public sector workers.
Council
staff ran activity sessions and provided information to encourage colleagues to
take advantage of the free opportunities.
Some
subjects on offer included internet training, relaxation techniques, dealing with stress and computer skills.
The
activity was run within the council itself and at City University, Newham
College and Greenwich Leisure Centre.
Staff
at the council are also entitled to discounted computers for use in the home.
