RMT rejects new pay offer from London Underground

An
improved pay offer from London Underground management has been rejected by rail
unions.

LU
increased its offer from 2.5 per cent to 3 per cent, saying it would pay out
the money despite the fact union talks had failed to reach agreement.

The
RMT said the offer was not enough and it may soon ballot staff over strike
action.

Aslef
is also considering action.

London
Underground’s HR director Bob Mason told website Ananova: "We urge the
unions to reconsider their position.
