General Election is on 7 June

The Prime
Minister Tony Blair has called the General Election for 7 June.

Blair
made the announcement during a visit to St Saviour’s and St Olave’s CE School
in Southwark, London.

The
announcement came after Blair moved forward his appointment with the Queen to
1pm.

He
refused to answer reporters’ questions about the date when he returned to No 10
after the meeting.
