Like-minded directors ponder HR

by Personnel Today 21 Nov 2000
by Personnel Today 21 Nov 2000

A
high-powered group of 30 like-minded HR directors shared common concerns at a
networking event in a London hotel last week.

Directors
from blue-chip companies like Tesco, Glaxo Wellcome and Dairy Crest met to
discuss what was described as "the imponderables of HR concepts and practice".

Chris
Bones, Cadbury Schweppes group organisation effectiveness and development
director, who chaired the day said, "Just to be able to network at this
level and talk to people who are dealing with the same strategic issues and
share ideas in a non-competitive way is useful."

Glaxo
Wellcome HR director Anne Prichard said, "It is valuable having some
thinking time and being able to mull over the issues."
