A report by Cubiks, Shaping the Future of e-Selection, reveals that almost 80 per cent of survey respondents have a corporate web site and 67 per cent of these sites contain a recruitment/careers section.
Almost 90 per cent of organisations believe they could benefit from increased use of the Internet in recruitment and assessment, using tools such as online personality questionnaires and candidate filtering systems.
Barry Spence, chief executive officer of Cubiks, said, "No one should think the days of traditional recruitment are numbered." But, he added, "The continued expansion of Internet usage and the huge investment being made in Internet related operations does mean that seizing the e-selection initiative has to be a priority for employers."
