British Airways’ director for people, Neil Robertson, is to leave the airline at the end of the month after 30 years service with the company.
Robertson has led the company’s people agenda for the past four years and championed the UK’s first airline drug and alcohol testing policy.
“Having seen through BA’s people priorities since 9/11, the time is right to hand over the baton before the airline embarks on the next business plan cycle. This has been a terrific job and I’m sad to be saying goodbye after 30 exciting and demanding years,” he said.
Robertson said he was seeking new career opportunities.

The beleaguered airline is continuing negotiations with the Transport & General Workers’ Union today to try to avert strike action.
The union warned earlier this week that 96% of BA’s cabin crew had voted to strike over a new pensions plan and work condition changes.
