Most
workplace deaths in London have been on building sites so far this year,
according to a new report.
London
Death Watch, a group which monitors work-related deaths, says at least 10
workers were killed in London in the first six months of the year, mainly after
accidents on building sites.
In
the three-month period leading up to the beginning of April, 27 construction
workers were killed in workplace accidents throughout the UK.

Watch has called for tighter legislation to prosecute executives for corporate
killing and blames lax health and safety for turning construction sites into
‘the killing fields for London workers’.
