The
Armed Forces is still struggling to recruit new blood – despite numbers increasing slightly over the past 12 months.
Latest
figures show the number of full-time members in the UK armed forces is
currently 188,130, a rise of 0.3 per cent.
However,
despite making progress there is still a long way to go before meeting the
recruitment target of 4.2 per cent.
One
particular area of improvement has been in the Army, where fewer recruits left
before finishing training, increasing the number of trained personnel by 1,500.
