The
Norweigan police have arrested two British Airways (BA) pilots and a member of
the cabin crew on suspicion of being under the influence of alcohol.
The
BA staff were arrested in Oslo when they arrived for the 6.45am flight, after
police were tipped off about "an alleged breach of the airline’s rules on
alcohol consumption before duty".
The
airline has flown managers to Norway to suspend the three employees on full
pay, pending the outcome of an internal investigation.
BA
said it was a disciplinary offence for an employee to report for work impaired
by alcohol.
