BP admits performance review will lead to job losses

Oil giant BP looks
set to cut several thousand office jobs over the coming months as part of a
cost and performance review.

The company said
the job losses and cost savings are part of a drive to prune administrative
overheads.

Since 1998, BP has
cut 18,000 jobs.

Details will be
announced next February.
