Senior
management at BT have frozen their basic pay for the third year running to set
an example to their employees.
Chief
executive Ben Verwaayen will earn £700,00 basic, with finance director Ian
Livingstone and head of BT Retail, Pierre Danon, on £450,000 each.
Verwaayen
pledged in March to lead by example by forcing a pay freeze on BT’s 75,000
