London
staff are among the happiest in Europe according to a poll of 800 employees
from London, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Milan, Barcelona, Madrid, Paris and Brussels.
The
survey by property group Cushman & Wakefield found that more than
two-thirds of London workers are very or fairly happy about working in the city.
Only
staff in Amsterdam and Frankfurt are happier at work than those in London,
according to the study.
Those
polled said the worst aspect about working in London is the public transport,
which they called expensive and dirty. Londoners have the longest journey time
in and from work, averaging 51 minutes against 33 minutes in Barcelona, but the
report claims that horrors of the daily commute are offset by the social
amenities on offer.
