EC president Romano Prodi has promised to cut bureaucracy to make European laws more accessible.
Prodi told delegates at the CBI conference in Birmingham this morning that they should expect the European legislative process to become more efficient in the next few months.
Prodi said legislation would require only the signature of one representative from each member state. He could not comment on whether this would effect the content of employment legislation.
He told Personnel Today: “This was a matter very close to my heart when I first began my presidency.”
