Chief execs are overpaid and underperforming, claims report

Chief executive pay needs to be more
transparent to satisfy employees and maintain a positive external image for the
company, according to a report by FT Dynamo and Suntop Media.

The report shows that many chief
executives earn high sums even when their company is performing poorly and
suggests the need for greater accountability.

Meanwhile, the latest Fortune 500
ranking  shows that the number of female
CEOs has doubled from two to four, and that US companies run by female CEOs
have outperformed the Dow Jones Industrial Index.
