A
landmark pay deal has today been awarded to 13,000 MoD industrial civil
servants.
The
four-year deal will see increases of between 24.5 per cent and 30.8 per cent.
The
change will see the lowest paid earn £5.70 an hour and an annual minimum wage
of £10,978.
The
MoD deal will also see 30 days annual leave after five years service and 26
weeks paid and 26 weeks unpaid maternity and adoptive leave.

national officer, Neil Moore, said: "This deal provides choice, removing
the stigma of being a second-class citizen, which has for too long been
associated with the industrial worker, and change to a completely new culture
of a dignified and respected worker, with parity with the non-industrial
workers."
