Around 2,000 jobs are to go at Cornwall Council over the next four years, as the authority attempts to cut £110 million from its budget, which equals to a 30% reduction, the BBC has reported.
Council staff are being asked by their employer to offer up ideas on how the money could be saved, via space on the council’s website.

The council admitted that all services it did not have to provide, such as leisure services, were vulnerable, the report added.
